Independence Day 2018 : Nims University | Prof. (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar

Jaipur: Harvard alumni and Chandwaji-based NIMS University chairman professor Dr Balvir S Tomar expressed confidence that the new crop of Indian youth is capable of making plans to “beat” China.

“If only you stick to truth, perform your duties and work hard, there is no way India cannot compete with China which is far ahead of us,” Professor Tomar told students, faculty and staff on the occasion of Independence Day in the university campus.
Human capabilities are built by education, truthfulness, sense of duties and innovation, he said.
NIMS University is trying to make an effort in this direction so that students of this university can make a contribution towards this goal of competing with the top performer in the world, he said.
 the University is targeting the top ranking in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) this year itself.”

In this direction, students have been given an authority to
assess teachers and facilities.
Sport facilities and swimming pool are coming up within
months. The university is progressing towards becoming a
vehicle free campus. Students and staff are being prepared for cycling around the university.
The function saw an impressive gathering and sterling
performances of students. A skit on how martyr Bhagat Singh would have felt if he had come to see a goddess in India in the present circumstances. The programme saw rounds of applause. The theme was centred around condition of women. 
The guards presented a parade under security incharge Satbir Sharma.
NIMS directors Dr Pankaj Singh, Ms Pallavi Tomar Mishra,
Registrar Prem Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor Sunil Sharma and principals amongst others, attended the function.
